Cold Plunge

Cold plunges are used to provide an instant invigorating effect, reduce inflammation and speed up the body’s recovery. Unlike a hot bath, which relaxes the muscles through heat, a cold plunge activates the body’s defences through brief thermal stress

The main reasons to try cold plunging: Combating inflammation: the cold constricts blood vessels, which reduces the side effects of strenuous physical exertion and alleviates swelling

Extreme focus and dopamine: immersing yourself in cold water (from +2°C to +10°C) increases dopamine levels in the blood by 2.5 times, and this feeling of focus and high spirits lasts for several hours

Hardening and immunity: regular, short-term exposure to cold stimulates the production of white blood cells and improves resistance to viruses

Contrast therapy: alternating between a hot bath and an ice-cold plunge pool acts as a ‘pump’ for the lymph and blood, removing waste products from the tissues as quickly as possible

Hot Tubs

A hot tub or whirlpool is ideal for improving your health, enjoying quality relaxation and socialising in comfort. The warm water, combined with the massage jets, has a holistic effect on the body.

Main reasons for use:

Stress relief: warm water reduces cortisol production and relaxes the nervous system

Muscle recovery: hydro-massage relieves muscle spasms, flushes out lactic acid and speeds up recovery after exercise

Improved sleep: a session 1.5–2 hours before bedtime helps the body fall asleep more quickly and deepens the deep sleep phase

Pain relief: regular treatments reduce chronic pain associated with arthritis, sciatica and joint disorders
